Abstract

The present article is a part of a master’s research that starts from the following question: what right has the psychotic had to his subjectivity in the treatments that are offered to his suffering? To promote this reflection we take account a more recent event in relation to public policies for Mental Health in Brazil and present an articulation between some points of the elaborative path of the Jacques Lacan theory to indicate an important effect of his constructions about the psychoses: the subject referred to the signifier, instead of the mistake of taking it as referred to reality. The aim is, therefore, to contribute with strategies against the appearance of a natural order for human experiences and, thus, to participate in the current proposals for emancipatory policies.
