The beatitudes of a normal childhood:
friendship and psychoanalysis
Abstract
This work presents a proposal for clinical management based on Sándor Ferenczi. Firstly, an association is made between Freud’s impossible to analyze and the elasticity of the technique, beginning the understanding of enabling the patient to enjoy the bliss of childhood. It follows with a distinction between empathy and furor sanandi, necessary for the parallelism between analytical relationship and friendship, glimpsed by excerpts from Ferenczi’s Clinical Diary and a clinical excerpt from us. Finally, we establish parameters for understanding close management of aspects of friendship from the context of analysis and friendship between Freud and Ferenczi.
